Fellow drivers,
I'm currently in Virginia right off 95 (152, the big chicken coop), I live right behind it. I'm trying to get to Reno, Nv after the first of the year. I've got some things lined up out there but having trouble getting there and don't want to spend $1,000 if I don't have to to get there. I will have plenty of $$ to provide myself food, smokes, and any other needs on the road. I'm hoping that I could hitch a ride with someone and in return could pay you a little something + if you needed me to drive then I could. I pulled autos OTR for 2 years and flats for 6 months otr. I've had a class a for 8 years and been driving all together for 10. I'm sure this won't appeal to most or anyone, but I'm taking the chance. I figured I'd post early to see if anyone is open to helping me out. Maybe we could chat on online, or phone and see it it would work. I can provide a Dmv printout to prove I'm legal and licensed and know it wouldnt cost ya much to add me to insurance to make me a legal driver for 3 days. I won't have much as everything I have will be in one or 2 bags. I'm not sure if I can post my # in here so PM me and I'll get you my contact info, or look me up on here, it should be listed. Thanks for reading John aka Pork Chop

Something don't really add up here, just a couple of months ago, 8/16/09 you said you had 5 months of flatbed, now you say 6 months? You also said at the same time that you needed a ride back east from Reno because a job you had lined up fell through, now your trying to get right back out there 3 months later? On one of your other names, arsjohns, you said you had 9 years of CDL driving, now you only have 8 years..........

What does it matter. I'm trying to get back West. I'm not applying for a job through your company or you, so why does it matter. I have the expeience and back it up. All I need is a ride and I was offering to help driver for someone.
I love how people post on this board and never answer questions just break people down. Now if I had posted that I'm a bomb ass super trucker, then yes....tear me apart sir.......but until then.... your not giving me a ride west, so why bother? Chop

Greyhound can get you there for $136.00. 21 day advance purchase. Only takes 3 days to get there on a Greyhound.

I've helped drivers out before but at the end of the day they had to be off the truck. I'm trusting but not crazy. I'm not going to allow a stranger room and board on my truck, not to mention since I've been haveing a hard time finding a job, last thing I need is to get hired by a company and fired for an unauthorized pasanger, not willing to risk that on my DAC but I truely wish you the BOL. hope it all works out.

Hey just pointing out some facts that don't add up. To me, you sound kinda kooky, you go out there then need a ride back, now you need a ride right back out to the same place........take a plane, flight ticket isn't $1,000, more like $400 depending on who you go with.
You said in some other places that you have a Class A but your auto transport has been with a dually pickup.........You also claimed your "great" with logging elsewhere but then a few months later had a bunch of questions on the HOS rules and how to log.

Depending on the day you fly, I actually got a number of flights leaving Dulles and landing in Reno that show it only costing $140 1-way and that's leaving on a Wednesday, leave on a Monday and it's $230, $135 for a Saturday so what's the problem with flying?
