Does anyone else here have the Slingshot broadband which you can get a Pilot? Have you been having problems with it lately? I have no been able to connect to it in days, their web page seems to be down on occasion, and I can't get through on the phone. I am unable to find any recent information online anywhere, and wondering if it's me, or them.
I had been using it since late December with little problem until now.

pilot and loves have crappy internet services. the three times i tried using either one, i couldn't even connect. t/a and flying j have better broadband services. i only used those if i didn't have a worthwhile signal with my sprint air card.

I have yet to find a T/S that had speeds and service that made it worth it to actually pay for it. In most areas I can get 100KBps download speeds on my sprint phone, sometimes as fast as 250KBps, rarely on a truck stop WIFI have I ever seen speeds above 100KBps. Now for the average person those are descent speeds, makes web pages go fast, but I am a heavy downloader, and for downloading files bigger then 100MB those speeds aren't all that nice
. That is the ONLY thing I miss about living in a house, was having cable modem where I could get 2500KBps to 4000KBps download speeds. (Usually when I download a file it is either a CD or DVD image file, and a CD image file is 700MB in size, and a DVD Image is usually between 1GB to 9GB in size). I probably download between 1 to 3 gigs a day. But again, I am a power user, above average for most .

But I do know it will work out, So I wait and watch without a doubt. |
