gonna send this video link as an email to my relatives who still believe trucking is the greatest thing in the world, and that i was crazy to drop it altogether. they still believe that it pays extremely well, or that it ever did.

That the post has only drawn one reply is a sad reflection on the social and political consciousness of the average CAD member.

Yea i looked at the whole 15min of it and it is very true. It is a shame how it is. Truckers used to make money back in the day and now all a truck is is a sweatshop on wheels

Ok. I wasn't driving before deregulation. In that respect, I'm a "JOHNY-COME-LATELY". However, I do have a brother with more than 40 years in this business. I remember conversations we had before deregulation, and the ones we've had since then. His pay dropped to about half of what it was before. I've also talked to a number of other guys that have said "the very best thing was getting out of trucking when deregulation happened".
