Default AT&T going on strike? Repalce them!

Just saw on the news that the land line division of AT&T is going to go on strike this Saturday because AT&T won't meet their demands for higher wages and more benefits in this hard economic time. My opinion on this. Break the Union, hire people that want to work and will work for the wages that are being paid now. Do NOT give the striking workers any type of unemployment/welfare from the state or federal level due to it being their option to walk off!

That would cure some of these high phone bills!

Again, only the land line division, our cell phones won't experience any break in service.

I don't have a landline, so I reckon I'm ok.
I'm glad you mentioned that the cell phone division aint in the same boat. I wouldn't know what to do if AT&T didn't provide cell phone service. Sprint offers Sysco employees 25% discount. My supervisors use Sprint. They have told me that once they get west of Seymour, they don't have good service til they get on the other side of Dickens. That would drive me nuts. AT&T has one dead spot out there by the Pitchfork Ranch, just west of Guthrie, but it's only for a couple miles.

I agree. I think they should just hire folks to work, and say to the others, 'sorry, but you quit. See ya. Good luck, finding another job'.
