Default Looks like DIAMOND REO is tryin for a come back

www.t-linetrucks.com

They are using a new name T-Line trucks.

My old man had a 1973 Reo and it was a good truck. It was a tri/axle Dump. He ran it up to about 1990. I cant really see them making it. Just my 2cents.

Looks like they are using International Cabs now, instead of Marmon.

Diamond Reo and Pacific, both used to build some screaming heavy-duty trucks.

Drove a Pacific once (based on an Auto-car cab), that had a V-12 Cat with 975 HHP at the output, and a Cat 12 speed electric shift tranny. That sucker was a ripping truck in the mountains. Was still grabbing gears, when the old 8V-77 Detroits were gasping for horsepower.

The Diamond Reo the company had at Rock Springs was a screaming memie. It had an 875 hhp Allison Aircraft motor in it with a 5x4 main tranny and a Browning 2 speed behind that! It could pull one of the big Frac-Master sand bins through the mountains at a steady 50 mph, all day long.

Of course...those of us who drove it the most, are paying the price now. Shoulda wore ear plugs.
