My .02... there has been a DRASTIC change in how this board is run by the new Admin! It reminds me of a fifth grader when he gets to be Hall Monitor for the first time, or the Trukz forum. This used to be a very interesting community with very diverse personalities and opinions which allowed people to make their own decisions. Sadly, that is no longer the case.

I made some good friends here and learned a lot from them, but most of them are gone now, or at least no longer posting here. :tears: It's sad to see what CAD has become.

 

Well RH, I tend to agree with your comments about the Rev.

BUT-

I'm not sure the overall quality of the boards administration has decreased under his stewardship. I think the guys that were doing it before were a bit too lax in allowing ad-hominen attacks and pointless pissing matches.

I would have banned Big Diesel and Vassago before Lebron or Steve.

But Rev did deal with BD in an apparently more than fair manner and seems to have moderated (pun intended) his own board persona. I am willing to give him a chance to grow into his new role. So far, I think he's doing it.

If, in a few months, he is doing his narcissistic, passive-aggresive punk thing- I'll let him know what I think. Meanwhile I also think it would be great if you stuck around too.

Can't we all just get along?

I don't know, Bel..... Sheepdancer was a recruiter. Don't KNOW if he held a class A license, but I enjoyed his posts. Heck, I don't even know if the recruiter known as Twilight Flyer had a class A. But, yeah.... I miss HIM, too!

And then there are the hundreds of "wannabe's" who have come here over the years looking for advice, who have made some great posts, and gave us all a reason for BEING here. NONE of THEM held a class A yet!

I've been here a LONG time.... maybe, TOO long. But, in all those years, I don't remember RebelDarlin OFFERING a whole lot of "advice." Certainly not as much as YOU have. Truckrswyfe didn't offer much advice either.... just a "relevant" viewpoint as a family member of a driver.

Fozzy! Man, do I MISS HIM! I don't recall him ever saying anything about trucking! His political wit was worth my dime any day of the week! I am now forced to wonder if HE had a class A license.

But.... if ANYONE is welcome here, why are you so intent on supposedly "exposing" one of our posters? Would your outlook change if this was Truckers NET? Or Truck Driving.COM?? Would YOU be allowed on a site called OTR Drivers.com? Or would you be more welcomed on a site called LocalWusses.com?

How about those drivers who got their CDL from Millington? Are THEY allowed to post here? What about Myth_Buster? Does HE still hold a valid Class A? If he does.... I doubt if he could get a job driving a truck these days after being out of the loop for so long.

Why do you CARE so much about who posts here? Why are you so anal? Problems with potty training? Or are you just mysoginistic? Oh wait.... I got it! You made a crude "advance" and were rebuked! HaHa! Hey, man.... get over it! We ALL get "shot down" every now and then!

But, back on topic.... I noticed (and appreciated) that the Rev said no one would be BANNED for replying to this thread. Absent, was a committment not to LOCK it! I hope it stays open for awhile, cuz as soon as I finish watching the Super Bowl I MAY want to say a few words.

I would certainly agree with this. Before the board got switched, I had heard that Big D was given a final warning, and it looks like Rev started with the warnings all over again. I also do not see the same tone in his posts anymore. Sort of like he's grown up a couple of years. My guess would be that now he's got to be more of an example for the rest of us and that requires better behavior.

however, like the economy, this board seems to have lost much of it's PUNCH. It does not seem to be as active anymore. It also seems that because of that, some of the members have lost interest in it. I know that I go look at other boards, and if there's nothing going on, I don't stay there and look very long, and I also don't bother going back there anymore. If this board doesn't liven up a bit, it's going to die. If it does, it's going to be a real loss for all of us. (How do you shoot fireworks off on a flatscreen display???)Well... That one was a dud.....

I sure would like to see you come back, Roadhog... My pictures don't work as well as yours do. Must still be doing something wrong. For that matter, I have no idea where you find the ones that are so dammed appropriate.
