In CA it's against the law to charge for air if your a customer that bought something. I have a copy of the actual law. I used it many times to show gas station workers and they gave me free air. This was in my car, not truck. Some of the gas stations in my area have the law printed on the machine too.

Do you need a separate glad hand to use the truck air or can you use the glad hand from one of the other air lines?

Bought one of those years ago for about $16.00 in Canada and I use it every week. Wrote it off my taxes as a business expense also

You just put the glad hand from the air hose onto the emergency glad hand from your truck and push in the trailer air button and poof!

Thanks, I just bought one of those kits and noticed it doesn't come with instructions. Logic would suggest that I'd tap into the trailer emerg. air from my truck, but it's good to know upfront for sure.

YEAH ya don't want to hook it up to the wrong one when your bobtail!
I've had one for years now and love it, except when its cold out the hose is stiff as a board. Some day I'll get a good rubber hose for it.
