Anyone in California today?

Not me. It's been a few years since I've been in CA, and I'm not anxious to go back there anytime soon. But, I have a feeling you're not alone. I've been seeing drivers looking at load boards in a number of truck stops like never before. And, I know that dispatch where I am is working a lot harder to get loads and keep us moving.

There used to be a great little restaurant at the next exit north from that Pilot. Very good food...and friendly staff.

I live right near the Pilot in Hesperia off of 395.
The Victor Valley used to have its own atmosphere, but with all the transplants, former city yuppies who now have kids, and gangbang types, this area is going to dogs quick. Essentially, anytime I roll past the Pilot, I keep saying to myself, "one day, I'll be out of once more." |
