Default Bad week

well, I was in Nebraska last Sunday and I dropped the trailer to be unloaded, when I got back the left leg refused to go up. we got a torch and heated it and still nothing, since it was -2 and 50 mph wind, the boss said just have them cut the leg off and we will get new ones put on later.
Now, on Wednesday I loaded a load of chicken fat to bring home and deliver Monday, I loaded and headed home, I stopped at a truck stop about 2 hours after loading for coffee, (about 3 in the morning) I get out and see grease everywhere, on both sides of tank and dripping on the ground, I climb up the grease covered ladder and somehow manage not to fall and find that the idiot loader closed the cap to the air vent in the hatch which left about a 1/2 inch gap. I got it closed and then went in and showered and changed my greasy clothes.
I took it the local company here where i used to work to be fixed
I told the guy at the company here to go ahead and service my truck while it was there, I didnt ask the price since I figured he would be around average.
I go to pick up the truck today, bill for landing gear and fixing the ladder is $963, it's not my trailer, the owner paid for that, I then asked for the bill on the service, $366 f-n dollars... last time at speedco it was $234.00
And one more thing, you might say why didnt I check my hatch before leaving? because you are not allowed to climb on your trailer on their property and they have always been good before this. I guess next time, I will stop on the side of the road and check it.
next week will be better (I hope)

I feel your pain there Free....I feel your pain.

I found a great way to get around theat "No climbing on tank" rule so many plants have. I ask for pictures of all the caps and the dome lid area, before I move the truck. All of a sudden it becomes "ok" to get up there and do your job.:lol::lol:
