Anyone else go through this one? I got there after the highway was closed and got a couple of pics while on the detour. 2 hours to go 20 miles or so. Better than being one of the ones stuck for 12 hours on the big road though.

I really don't mind having skipped it. Been through them for a number of years now. PQ, ON, SK, AB, and BC. I never found the snow to be all that bad up there. Generally too cold to be all that slippery, except for once in a while. It's the freezing rain that I really had fun with. The year our utilities sent help up to Ottawa... That was interesting driving. Took most of the branches off the trees too. Stop the truck at the edge where the ice made a ridge with the grass so it wouldn't slide off the road, and get out to check the tires... And, promptly slide under the truck... Sort of like an "INSTANT 2-CENT TOUR" of the undercarriage. It's over by the time you realize what's happening.
