Actually not a bad question, I find CBs useless if not down right annoying. Can never have a decent conversation without some dumb ass jumping in with stupid shit about how fast his truck is or, what his sexual preferance is and so on and it usually is behind the mike of an extremely distorted radio.... I'm glad I got my Amateur license it is a lot more entertaining!!!

Yeah, I've got one. It's in a box in my shop.
Tossed it out after getting my XM a couple of years ago. I had to drive a different truck one day and it had a CB. I didn't turn it on 'til I was around the Petro in Portage, WI and heard two guys hollering at each other. I waited for a break in the "conversation" and told them that I hadn't listened to the CB in years, but I could swear they were the same two guys that were arguing when I last listened. I don't miss it one bit, and I believe my IQ has actually risen since I got it out of my truck. daycab

yes I have a childrens band radio "CB" That is what I call it never seam like Doc said carry on a good conversation with out some dumb A#$ jumping in it like a play ground potty mouth channel. only real good it is for me is in the yard to talk with the hostler.

Yes I do... It may not be what I use the most anymore since the advent of cell phones and the Nextel. But it does comes in handy when you yearn for a conversation or as other drivers have put it, necessary when pulling into a loading area.

I have a radio it's company crap, but it does do the job. Last one I owned was fried by lightning. |
