....or, "what truckers wives do when home alone" LOL
All summer I have been trying to catch a Garter snake from around the farm- dunno why, just wanted to see if I could lol. I hate bugs and spiders- very afraid of spiders- but I like snakes. Anyway.... so today I see one of the barn kitties gnawing on a little snake...it wasnt quite dead yet so I rescued him- then thought "Oh! I'll keep in in a box in the house until I get an aquarium" (or whatever those reptile cages are called) I checked on him every now and then, he was still alive, and starting to perk up (cold/wet outside, warm/dry in the house). I had to leave for an hour or two, on my way home I decided, I'd let him go- after someone told me how germy they can be lol. So I got home, took the box outside, opened it, and he was GONE! Yikes- now I have a snake loose in the house someplace, and even though I'm not afraid of them really, its starting to creep me out! So, I want to know, how do you call a snake? "Here kitty kitty" doesnt work Oh yeah, called hubby and told him, he's not too thrilled about it either lol. I'm allergic to the cats, but I think one will be inside with me tonight

OMG I found him!!! Now I can sleep tonight LOL. I got up to let the dogs out (they live on front porch) and "Fluffy" (
) was sitting by the door- like he wanted to go out too; I picked him up, and he crapped all over my hands- GROSS:eek: Needless to say, he's out in the woods someplace now, and hopefully wont want to come back inside

I guarantee the snake will never set foot near your house again (get it...foot)
Now did you learn a lesson?

PETA is on the phone. They want your address, Something about having wild animals in captivity. Can I give them the address or not?

This story reminds me of something that happened to my wife a few years back.
Her son had the brilliant idea of buying a baby alligator. Well, he had to go away for 5-10 years, so we got the opportunity to adopt this modern-day dinosaur. At the time, the gator was about 2 feet long total, and almost impossible to hold from it's strength. We had a large aquarium setup for it, but I guess the lid wasn't good enough. Anyway, she calls me at work one day and said that when she got up, the aquarium was empty. I told her to just watch where she walked and I'd be home in a few hours. I got home and she was on the couch and said she'd been there since she got off the phone with me about 3 hours before. Luckily, it was the middle of the winter and the house was a nice cold, drafty place. The gator was underneath a chair in an almost comatose state. Needless to say, we gave the gator away the next day.

OH NO! I would have hurt myself! I don't like snakes or spiders. I have been bitten twice by spiders, one was a Brown Recluse. I can't even imagine a snake or an alligator in my house! They can jsut stay outside!! I used to think spiders were ok...because I hated flies and other little buggies that spiders eat...but not anymore! My kids are starting to ask for things like hamsters and lizards...not just no...but HELL NO!!! No more little critters, not even a "foot" dog (which is anything under 50 lbs). Cats are particularly welcome, though...but everyone is allergic to them...
