Default Train Horns

I've been looking at buying a train horn. I've done some research but wondered if anyone here has one or knows a little something more about them. I want a loud one. (Loudest you can buy)

I run a set of Nathan K5L. It's 5 horns and will knock the socks off any of those 3 horn chrome plated horns all the custom places sell on the net. Got mine off eBay.

I wish my uncle was still working. He worked at CSX for 30+ years as a mechanic. I'm sure he could've gotten his hands on a real horn.

Nathan K5l is what Northfolk Southern runs along with a few other RR so you are getting the real deal. Just remember this they go thruough air like a MFer and you may want to put it a dedecaited airtank for them also run a 1and 1/2 inch air line for it rigid would be best aka metal to get the best sound from it. What ever you do do not blast the DOT officer with it LOL.

I added an extra tank and used 1" line. I can "advise" four wheelers for about 20 seconds max before I have to wait for the tank to recover. They want 150psi but my set up only goes to 120(duh). Hell with the DOT officer, make sure your window is up.

http://www.hornblasters.com/products...ry.php?class=8 Try these I had some on my s-10 when I had it, but make sure you get a adjustable pressure switch so you can turn it to switch off at 200 psi because the one they give you shuts off at 145 psi and thats not really enough , pretty damn loud for the money. I had the 4 black ones but the other ones should be even better then the ones I had. It comes with tank, horns, air line, and everything you need, just add the adjustable switch instead of the one they supply.

I just thought of a fun thing I could do.....Put like 5 of these things underneath the truck, and turn one of my 150 gallon fuel tanks into an air tank........
