Caught the lasted episode last night with the contestants driving big rigs.

It was really funny, the girls seems to have the least amount of problems. The chic that got booted was able to back the truck up in 2 1/2 minutes, where as the other guys were 18 and 24 minutes but her king pin got bound up, the tractor wasn't straight and she ended up lossing.

Pretty sad.

Brought back a lot of memories for my husband training nobs. The truck wreck that they saw was a cold shock of reality for them. Husband thought Berthhound Pass looked more difficult then Atguin Pass. I don't think they showed enough to tell.

Aint't no passes in the NW that will stand along side the big passes of Colorado. There are more than a couple "No-freeway" passes in CO that make the hair on yer neck..and "Else-where" stand on end!

Lizardhead Pass is my favorite.....Just cuz I likes the name!!

My husband misses little about OTR trucking. But he was one of those crazy guys that loves ice skating, and throwing iron.

We started discussing all his former students. We could write a book I tellya. We had pet names for most of them. There were only a handful I didn't get to met. Good times. :lol

I watched the show last night.
That was just wrong that the girl who backed that truck in 2.5 minutes was booted because she couldnt release the kingpin.
It was obvious that they were never taught how to unbind the kingpin release. Would have taken her all of 1minute to climb back into the tractor, put it in reverse and "push" back on the kingpin, and unbinding it. Everybody was cheering her on, but nobody was able to yell out the technique to unbind the kingpin. Which proves they never taught the "students" how to do it.

Husband's thoughts exactly.

Did you see the part where her partner another chic sells her out?
Of course she couldn't know how the other drivers were doing, so to throw her under the bus like that. Not to mention the guy that couldn't drive/down shift, smack talked his trainer, almost took our the guy's transmission and couldn't even decide if he wanted to participate got to stay.

I did think the chic from Texas was so funny. Them texas chics, she was all clowning while she drove like she was a BBR. I like her.

I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Was only able to watch about 10 minutes of the show.
I found a link on the NBC website to be able to watch full episodes online.

Thanks for the link... Not sure I would have wanted to try Dolton Highway or Atigan Pass with just a Learners Permit.

She did have a point about women, "feeling" things like when to shift and men just rying to "force it". I've seen that a lot.

Gotta admire those 'trainers' though, that took a lot of nerve to get in those trucks with noobs in that terrain.

I sure did. Thinking how impressed I am with my husband.

He trained an African and some guy from Florida who never saw snow till they got in the truck let alone drive on it.
All in the middle of winter on some of the ugliest passes America has.
