I really liked Sacramento - I lived there for a few years ('89 - '93). There is a little seafood restaurant in Placerville that served the best cioppino I have ever had. I mainly stayed on the Rancho Cordova side because I lived out in Placerville. I can only imagine that you wouldn't be lonely very long if you went out to the river...even if you aren't "looking", there are (or I guess I should say...were...it's been a long time) a bunch of fun people areound there. I really miss that area - I would go back if hte cost of living weren't so high. I can barely afford my kids living here...I couldn't imagine if I brought them out there.
However...if you need a place to "hide" in Texas...that is where I am!! You are welcome to crash at my crazy ADHD-circus of a house!

Aw, c'mon PhuzzyGnu.. .. that ain't right..
Floored, we may not know each other, but it still sucks when things don't work out  I'm glad you have some support here at CAD, however. Perhaps some time to yourself will allow you room to heal from emotional damage; of course, money can be replaced - although it sucks to have to replace it in the first place... You can have one of those NO VACANCY signs all the singers croon about on the heartbreak songs  I literally fell out of my seat when I read RostyC's comment  The words didn't come to mind, just the picture   |
