My buddy just sold his Harley and bought a big beemer touring bike. Sweet lookin ride if I do say so myself (me being an R1200C owner). He was facing yet another repair bill on his Road King (w/ only 20K miles on the clock :x ) We were on a beverage break from a ride last year and I was talking to a mechanic that overhead us talkin bikes. He was pushing his repair business but when he found out I had a BMW he said...ahh you won't be needin my business. Those boxer engines go forever.

I bought a '99 Fatboy about 5 months ago, and I just returned from Sturgis SD on a nice long road trip. I started out in Temecula, CA, went up through Boise to visit family, and across into South Dakota and back. 3703 miles carefree riding with no problems. After owning a Harley, I could never own any other bike.
How does that ol' saying go? "Once you go Harley... you never go back!" No, that's not it, but it's something like that.
