DEATHPROOF or DARWIN MAY BE RIGHT
#1
Everytime I see someones feet on their dash, I just have to think about the movie"DEATHPROOF" when the headon collision occurs how the one girls leg goes flying down the road. Cops worry about seatbelts but not if people are seated properly, I will tell you one thing if the driver brakes hard there is no way they will be able to lower their legs due to g forces, then either two things will happen either the airbag will go off making a pretzel out of them or they will submarine under the lap belt and be folded into the floor board. Also what is with the retards that have their backrest leaned all the way back(cool I guess), if they ever get in a slide they wont be able to control the vehicle having to hang on to the steering wheel to maintain an upright position or if they are rear ended at a stop light the headrest(bad name should really be head catcher) wont be in the right position to stop the rearward movement of the head resulting in a broken neck. Darwin would agree the stupid will make ways to expedite their demise.

Nature is working hard to thin the herd.
I behave only because I am scared I'll be next. ....BTW...how did Darwin die? he didn't step in front of a Bus or something, right? :P

Well, I do lean my seat back a few inches when I drive. Sitting in a near vertical position for long periods of time does not work for me. My back will not take it. And, for me, the lumbar support would be far more comfortable if it were AWOL. But, whether I'm driving or riding, I do not lean it back all the way. Most were not meant to fold down into a bed.
As to why anyone else leans them back... All the way, I have no idea. I can see sleeping in the passengers seat, but not in the driver's seat. My auto-pilot has not been perfected to that point yet.

CT, I feel the same way about people with their feet on the dash. I hate to see people with their feet hanging out the window too; however, these hatreds didn't stop me from trying it. I called it 'letting loose' and just did it on I-55 the other day while trying to *enjoy* my vacation. The driver of the car was one of my childhood friends, and while I usually don't trust regular DL holders to transport my precious cargo, this one time I did it - just to have the experience. I wasn't foolish enough to do it for a long period of time, but it seemed freeing
It might've been more so had I been barefoot, so I might do it again one day in the future to test the theory. I still hate to see it though and the entire time I was doing it, I just knew some passer-by wanted to try something to stop me - bad feeling!
