Worldpace had planned to launch another satellite to cover South America and the Caribbean in April of 2007(Afristar). Well they put it on hold, possibly XM/Sirius merger?

The direction technology is going I think it's impossible to have a "broadcasting" monopoly when you can stream audio through the Internet and your cell phone, but that's my opinion and others might not agree.
