Default Vacation

Well I got it so I might as well use it.

Trouble is, dont have a CLUE where to go!
Anyone have any suggestions?
Amusement parks are out of the question. 3 kids age 5 and under is a no no for any amusement park.

Looking to stay within 5 hours of Pittsburgh.
The wife keeps pushin the beach idea but I'm only into that if I can find "my own private beach". I'm in no way interested in dealing with/walking over 500,000 people baking in the sand, people screaming, and all that nonsense. However, if we could find a semi secluded part, I'd be ok with it.

Also heard about some place near Niagara Falls called Marine World or something like that? That too is a possibility, but then again comes the thing with the kids. Once we do that, what else is there for us to do for a few days with kids age 5,2, and 1.?? That giant jet boat thing that go's in the falls looks pretty badass but I'm thinking the 2 and 1 year old wont be diggin gettin strapped into the seat of that

Looking for suggestions. Trying to keep it somewhat peaceful, yet cool/fun at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

If you are thinking the beach, check out Long Beach Island in Jersey. It's not too crowded. You could probably get a good deal on a week's rental. I heard a lot of places were still open. I have young children and they love it. The downside is that there is no boardwalk, which explain why it isn't crowded. But nice little shops and eateries and mini golf.

there's alot of stuff to do at the Falls (read $$$) and alot in the surrounding area, you could drive up and stay at or near Allagany Nat. Forest in Pa (Hearts content campgrounds real nice) then head north to Canada and the falls stay a couple days then just wander back. Not to far out of your way is NYS finger lakes lots of wine tours boating ect, don't forget Watkins Glen It's more than just racing and closer to Rochester there's Letchworth State Park with a fantastic gorge. Now that I planned your vacation, any other questions ?

i was going to suggest lancaster county. there's an amusement park there called dutch wonderland that is kid friendly, a lot more so than say hersey park. there is also a train ride near there called the strasbrug railroad that is a lot of fun.
