Default how long for tsa letter for hazmat

how long does it take for me to get my tsa letter to take to the dmv to get my hazmat endorsment i took the test wed and passed i know ill pass the background just wondering when i will get the letter

they say 4 to 6 weeks but I got mine in less than 2

If I remember right mine took about 10 days even though they tell you it could be up to a month. Just keep checking back with them and they will let you know if you passed your background or not. When I went to take my hazmat test I had already passed my background check but hadnt received my letter in the mail yet, but they still let me test because tsa sends the DMV confirmation that your ok to test.

check back with who? tsa or dmv
wait a week and then call the dmv and ask if they have received your approval yet, they say you dont need to bring the letter in, but they asked for mine

Mine took about 2 months, from what I remember. But I'm sure they were taking an extra hard look at me. :wink:

i think mine was about 3 weeks, but i'm in california, thought for sure they would screw it up someway or another, but eventually got the approval...of course I didn't need it any more. I got let go by the company I was hauling fuel for and went into work for a paving contractor, so i was out the ninety some dollare i paid for it.
