Thank ya Countryhorseman that was what it was! I need to get a new mount for my pick up, I broke the other mount trying to angel it forward just a little bit. I need to get a new antenna and mic along with a bracket since I got it off a friend and it didn't come with a bracket.

I love the guys that have them angled down at like 45 degrees or so, and then wonder why there overmodulated repacked Ranger (i.e. Galaxy) and their sweet 16 talks to people that are 200 miles away, and they cannot talk to the truck behind them! That was too funny today!

And sometimes, the whips actually bend down, instead of up! Doh!

I don't like them angled that much at all. It's best to have it at slight angle or almost straight. It's not suggested that you angle the antenna but if it's too long or too tall for the truck then that is the only thing to do is to angle it just a bit.
