Another driver from my agent van-van'ed some freight on my trailer delivering where I was picking up on my day off to get save him a day and 1/2. By accident he also put a pallet going elsewhere that needed to be somwhere asap.

My agent was going to charge him 1700 for air freight to get it where it had to be. $1700 is a bit steep for any o/o, so I called Alice to drive down to Las Vegas from Sacramento to get the pallet and drive it back to Sacramento area where it needed to be. She drove something like 400 miles one way to the TA in Barstow. I had the pallet broke down and I loaded the goodies in her Navigator. After pumping her gas and carrying her drinks and snack (she is still rehabbing the knee) she ran like a bat out of hell back to Sac-town and got it delivered on time.

I can't tell what I arranged to pay her, unless she posts it, but it was a pretty profitable 24hrs for her! Once she delivered she called my agent and got a ComCheck auth # and everyone moved on with life.

Thanks again for saving the day Alice! You owe me for the Full Throttle and animal cookies though!

Edit: All of our drivers have keyed locks that are the same. Had I been there, I might have caught this pallet as we transfered it.
