Am interrested in knowing if anyone has had any experience with either and which works better. What manufacturer puts out better equipment on both. I do have a laptop and considered putting a program on it but also not sure which one to go with. I am tired of being lost around & in large cities, going down not so truck friendly roads and thought that one of these would help me. Any information would be appreciated. Thank You

I use CoPilot 9 Truck. You can't rely on it, or ANY other product 100%. ALWAYS confirm your directions.
Here's some info on CoPIlot 11: http://www.classadrivers.com/phpBB2/...ic.php?t=31869

Garmin's Nuvis or late model street pilots are very good units. But I don't use them in a truck as they're not truck specific. But for a car use, I absolutely love the damn thing. Much more convienant than lugging a laptop around.
There are many good sites for GPS reviews, heres one. http://gpsmagazine.com/

I'm going to change my GPS system in the next month or so. I've been using CoPilot now for a couple years, but since it isn't truck specific (but marketed as it is), why use it?
Here's what I'm looking to switch to: http://store.mp3car.com/Centrafuse_X..._p/sof-018.htm I can add a XM tuner to the laptop. After I do that, the computer will handle all of my entertainment/navigation through 1 program. When the GPS wants to announce something, it pauses whatever's playing, does the announcement, then resumes play. I can also play my mp3 library with it, as well as use addons for it like weather, bluetooth (no headset) phone, etc.

I'm using a Garmin Nuvi 350. It's not perfect but does have a truck setting. I always compare it with my routing and a map. I've had 3 months now and only had 2 bad moments with it. Both times wanted me to turn down streets I couldnt. In general it's been good but always double check. :!: [/b]

I tried 3 different gps then I finally got a refund of 700 dollars and spent 129 dollars on microsoft streets and trips and would never go back. Great software but be sure to confirm route and check your route for weight limits and low clearances.
