I just watch CSI: Miami reruns on A&E. So what happened to Cain? Don't worry about spoiling it for me, it's okay. Was it like when Delco got shot and everyone thought he was dead too?

I found a synopsis on line.

No, I was actually talking about the characters on the show.

On Vegas, Warrick got shot (and presumably killed) at the end, by the undersheriff, who set him up. In real life, the actor that played Warrick is having substance abuse issues, so they did not renew his contract. The producer did say he might be back for some guest appearances next year, but I'm sure that hinges on him getting cleaned up. If he doesn't, they'll probably kill him straight off. That would be too bad...he's one of the more enjoyable characters on that show.

On Miami last night, Caine was shot and "killed" at the very end and the very last show shot was of Wolfe getting a text message that "it was done". So everyone thinks Wolfe is behind it, though the last five minutes gave us three additional suspects: Saris, Caine's ex, and/or Caine's son. I got that one figured out though.

And I don't care what people say about David Caruso. His over-the-top acting is a perfect fit for his character. Of the 3 CSI shows, he's the one that can actually get me to cheer. When he tells a bad guy "you'll be dead by Father's Day," I'm all over that.

8)

Looking forward to NY tomorrow...

Yes, wife and I are huge CSI fans.

I started my CSI love affair with Grissom. That show got me extra credit points in my Forensic Science class!! Loved that!

As I grew in my CSIness, I graduated to a fully matured infatuation with the over-the-top, standing sideways, quiet speaking, red-haired Caine!!
Now you're telling me they've "offed" him????? Sad day in the world. I wanted to beat his brother's wife up... ops:

I never got to the NYC version. Except for the time Caine went up there.
Thanks for keeping us posted. I seldom get to watch tv anymore!!

CSI Miami finale brought back Caine's son, his ex, and Ron Saris...the murderer that married Caine's ex and always rubs it in his face. Alex left the show 2 episodes ago...the new M.E. shows up at the very beginning, has 3 speaking lines, and gets shot and killed.

The ensueing investigation leads to Saris, the guy that wants Caine dead. They have a very cool back and forth about Saris wanting Caine dead.

Saris: "It would make Father's Day easier on the kid."

Caine: "Ron, you'll be dead by Father's Day."

To wrap up the ending, they raid a warehouse where they arrest the guy responsible for a murder earlier in the show. He makes threats to Caine, basically saying he's a dead man. As Caine gets ready to walk off, you can just see the outline of his jacket on the edge of the screen and if you're not looking, you miss the fact that he's whispering something to this guy.

Show ends with this guy on a phone in prison saying just tell me when it's done. Then you get three shots of:

1. Saris unloading a new type of alloy bullet
2. Caine's ex putting a gun in her purse and saying she has something to do
3. Caine's son, who is mad at Caine, pulling a gun out of his bag and making sure it was loaded.

Final shot is where Caine is standing outside of an airplane that his ex and son are supposed to be on, as he's sending them out of the country for their safety. You can't tell if they're on it or not, but the door closes and he is texting someone on his cell when there is a single shot and down he goes.

Switch to Wolfe walking out of the CSI headquarters, answering his own text on his cell which says... "it is done."

Show ends with a shot of his broken sun glasses lying next to his body...the same broken sunglasses they've shown all season on trailers.

So, you're left with 3 possible suspects and Wolfe somehow being involved. My own CSI investigative sense tells me that Caine is faking his own death in order to get to Saris and he was the one texting Wolfe, who is working with him.

Remember, Caine doesn't play by the rules. This is the same guy that has no problem gunning someone down to save the taxpayers money. He also, if you missed it, took down a scared-to-death pedophile a few episodes ago by taking off his watch and saying "you really shouldn't be resisting arrest," before apparently beating the wholly hell out of him. That was a good one.

Anyway, I expect Saris to get a dose of Caine-justice on the series premier. I think David Caruso still has a decently long contract, so they won't be writing him out of the show.

I was thinking that they couldn't kill Caine. If they did, there wouldn't be a show anymore. Caine carries CSI: Miami.
