"Reality" TV is just a waste of time and money. I can't stand reality tv! Some shows I do like as long it's funny! I'm more into comedic shows and stuff like the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Speed, and anything automotive or trucking related! Speaking of Speed did any of y'all see the Year One edition of the Black Trans Am Burt Reynolds edition? If you haven't it's nice. It's all 77 except the headlights are one long rectangle instead of the two on each side, has a LS7 pushing out about 600hp, 5spd manual. Man that thing is BADDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!! Supposely they are making it as a production vehicle we can purchase. Back on topic now.

I think some 'reality' shows have some merit. In the aforementioned Dancing With the Stars, you have real competition, people really learning how to perform these elaborate dances.. there actually is something real about it.
Now Survivor on the other hand, is a load of crap.
And History Channel has to be the greatest channel ever conceived.

Racism still exist weather we like it or not .I have talked with many people blacks, whites and immigrants in my community and I can not believe how still divided we are.
It is sad to see how media plays race and gender card in this election and that reflects this issue across USA and shows how this issue is still important
to the people. It shouldn't matter at all to the people ,if somebody is qualified
to run this country let him or her do it.It is simple as that .
Talked to a lot of people about this election and a lot of them are saying America is not ready for women or we are not ready for black president .
Well it is 21st century and if this country is not ready now when it will be :?:
If this country still wants to be a leader of democracy in the world maybe we should start with our own backyard.
I came here 8 years ago to live in peace and prosper ,became Us citizen 3months ago(will be able to vote finally) and overall I am happy
But I still run across people that raise my blood pressure ....
:x :x
pEACE....

No matter what race you are you'll always be stereotyped. Ya know what I find funny is people at my school tell me I should be driving a car with rims, tinted windows, and a system. I laugh cause that is the dumbest crock of horse shit I heard in my life! Thats like me saying all you truck drivers on here are a bunch of dumb uneducated southern racist rednecks. It's not true! But I drive a 89 Ford with muddin tires on it. Be glad when I get rid of that piece of junk to for a Chevy/GMC pick up. Also what I find funny is they expect me to listen to rap in which I do but they expect me to wear baggy pants with my pants down below my knees. I tell them why in the hell would I want to have my underwear showing to everyone, if I wanted to do that I rather go around naked! Hell they can't talk shit to me cause there are people at my school who are white (no pun intended) who try to act "black" or like a thug and wear their pants down to their knees and I tell them to pull their pants up cause I can't stand that crap. One of my biggest pet peeves is everyone at my school thinks that they are a "gangsta" or some crap like that! My cousin calls me a black redneck, cause well lets see I'm into NASCAR, bull riding, cars, 4wheeling, and stuff like that. Other than that I live my life just like everyone else and where I live some people do give me dirty looks but I blow it off or don't pay attention. All I can say is I'M PROUD OF WHO I AM and WHAT I'VE BECAME and WHAT I WILL BECOME and that is a successful small business owner/truck driver/diesel mechanic!

Oh, I think we're definitely ready for a black or a woman or maybe a black woman president. We're just not ready for someone like Obama or Hitlery.

The idea that either one of those two could be our next president is more than a little scary.

Seriously, this whole election is a crock this year. No matter who we vote for, we're pretty much screwed as a nation.

:x

You took my thunder TF....Exactly my thoughts.
Ill tell you what really caught my attention...about 2days ago, was listening to one of my favorite channels on Sirius. on a Right Wing talk channel...A resently converted to liberatarian/former Indepentent radio host...made the comment that Clinton is problably the most Conservative  between the Dems and Repubs running. This came about after McCain made his resent "Globel Warming" comments....I dang near sprayed coffee all over the windshield.

and to Double L....After reading your post...especially on this topic. You are doing a fine job. Your not caving into peer pressure, and you seem to be quite mature and have a very level head for your age. Best wishes to you on your endeavers.

I grew up in Bozeman, Montana in the late 70's. I think there might have been one black person in town that was attending college. My stepdad was about as redneck as you can get and viewed his opinions openly.

In 1979 I joined the Navy and went to San Diego for boot camp. Talk about a culture shock for me. More blacks and asians than you could shake a stick at.

Now 30 years later, I think racist should take a qualude and just chill.
(ever smoke a qualude before??) Thier bias is just plain ignorance.

My two driving partners are hispanic and they are both great ,hard working family men. One is even a reformed gangster homie.
Our other truck has two black guys that are equaly great.

(National Anthem Song Playing)
All races have shed thier blood for my freedom and I choose to see the color red and give them the benefit of my respect. I choose to leave the judging to a HIGHER POWER, who am I to judge. Racism is a poison, it will burden your heart with hate and will affect those you THINK you LOVE.
Racism begets Racism. A look in the eyes, a warm smile, a howdy, hello, wus sup, how ya doin can break through the racial barriers and maybe you too can see the color RED!!!!

PEACE OUT 8) 8)
