Fatal wreck on I-80 in CA

Here are some pics of an accident that happened today right around the corner from where I work.
The tow truck was broke down on the side of the road, and the driver was said to be working on it, and the other driver veered out of his lane and hit the tow truck, killing the driver. http://www.auburnjournal.com/detail/81562.html

I drove over 80 on a bridge in Loomis around 6PM last night and saw the traffic on 80 completely stopped...this is the first I heard of what happened. I am sorry for the driver that was killed. I also wonder why the other driver drifted off the road. I'm sure they will have a close look at his log.

There was another accident about a month or so ago, where a Tony's pizza driver out of Reno was traveling east (i think) around Clipper Gap and decided to drive off the side of the road. The first tree he hit ripped the steering axle off of the truck, and he was found to have alcohol in his system.
