I was driving along I-57 in Illinois last friday, had the cruise set on 59 and was being passed constantly by trucks. a Swift truck passed me doing 65 or 63 or however fast they go, came to the downhill and of course kept his foot in it. at the bottom of the hill, smokey came out and nailed him.. I hate to find amusement at someone elses expense, but it was funny as hell..

I was coming north out of Chattanooga, Tn on 24N last week and coming down one of those hills with the 55mph truck speed restrictions, a jb hunt got pulled over by a bear. thats all you hear for miles on ch19

I've had 4 different Illinois troopers radar me at 65 MPH and they all ignored me. However I don't think you want to flaunt it by going any faster.

Hey Fredog, your story is a funny one. I get a kick out of Swifters passing me in 55 m.p.h. states (Ca, Ore., Ill,etc,etc) When I first was with my trainer (yes with Swift) I over heard these dudes talkin trucker talk in the terminal in sparks nv. They were telling stories about 4 wheelers that would pass them and then slow down so they would have to get in the "hammer" lane and pass them again. I just thought it was the funniest thing and wanted to say how can a Swifter possibly call it the "hammer" lane when you cant even do the speed limits on certain parts of I-80 (75) need less to say go over 65 mph? Even if they can go faster than 65 down a hill the qcomm squeels on them immediatly. But I guess you gotta tell your stories to others to keep sane out there huh?
