5 alarm fire kills two firemen in my town

I know there are MANY firefighters and Emergency personnel on this board. I salute you ALL for the bravery you show everyday!
I ask you to pray for the families of these two men. I live just outside of this town, and this fire was of a magnitude that warranted CNN coverage. (for what THAT is worth!) On the day of the funeral, crews from Charlotte and surrounding areas "filled in" for our department so that OUR men could attend the funerals for their fallen comrades. I thank them ALL! In a time when the word "hero" is thrown about like a soiled shirt, and not "earned" by all...... these guys.... YOU guys.... are real American heroes!! You fight an enemy that waves no flag, and suffers no casualties of its own. There is NO CHANCE of "negotiation." No quarter given. You either WIN or LOSE.... and you KNOW the stakes! I actually tried out for the job once, but was not "fit" enough at the time. I couldn't even carry WATER for you now! I offer only praise and thanks. You guys are the BEST of what America has to offer (along with our military of course.) I pray that God protects you. You HAVE the "right stuff!" http://www.wsoctv.com/news/15525002/detail.html

I always hate hearing this. My BIL is a Firefighter. After 23 years of marriage my sister is still a basket case until he comes home from a call.
RIP and Thank You!

Can you please send me the address of the firehouse? Bunny: I am attempting to get those addresses for you, but it will take me some time. The younger man, Monroe was a volunteer who worked with 3 different Departments within the county. The more senior man, Isler, was a transplant from New York. He was an EMT with the FDNY and was a first responder at the scene on 9/11. He moved down here because he was too old to be a fulltime fireman in NYC.
