You are absolutely correct. I also remember the “spin” on the Alaska pipeline, now the terminals in WA pretty much sit empty, all the Alaska oil is going to China. Same will happen if the oil companies are allowed to drill in the northern areas of Alaska, same BS, same spin, enough oil to last a century, but it will all be sold to China instead.

Rising ENERGY and FOOD prices are NOT included in the cost of living or the “officially cooked” inflation numbers.

Some members of Congress were born “Silver Spoons in their Mouths” others “Silver Boots in their Mouths.” Vote them all out.

BP was granted permission to sell their excess oil capacity to Japan in 1995, by Congress. However...when BP bought Arco in 1999, that excess capacity disappeared. It takes all the oil BP produces off their 36% interest in Prudhoe Bay, plus most of the excess from the ConocoPhillips production capacity(about 20% of CP's 51% interest in Prudhoe Bay) to supply the Arco refineries in Bellingham WA (Cherry Point) and Carson CA. BP's oil production at their Beaufort Sea facility is actually counted as Canadian oil..since the Beaufort Sea is Canadian territory.

Carson refinery though, has been modified to refine oil imported from Columbia, Vietnam and Singapore, which accounts for about 28% of their daily refining production.

ConocoPhillips provides oil to not only their refineries in Bellingham WA, Martinez CA and San Pedro CA, but they also sell oil from Alaska to Tesoro for their refineries in Anacortes WA, Hawaii, Martinez Ca & Wilmington CA.

Chevron and Exxon each use all of their Alaska Production...Exxon owns 5% of Prudhoe Bay production, Chevron owns 3% of Prudhoe and 65% of Cook Inlet production, with Shell owning the balance of Cook Inlet. Anadarko Petroleum owns the remainder of Prudhoe Bay Production...about 5%.

With the annual declines in production that Alaska experiences, I do not see BP remaining up there much longer, without new exploration permits.

I've felt for years that America needs to annex Canada, Mexico & Venezuala. To bad it wouldn't be realistic. :cry: :cry: It would make us "energy independant".

I've felt for some time that we may as well take down the boarders between the US and Canada. Cross over just like we do from one state to the other. I do get to see a different flag, and some folks have a slightly different accent, but we have most of the same interests and laws are mostly similar. Not much difference driving in either one....

Except Quebec Province. Those folks just aren't right... Some how.... Some of the women have nice legs, but I can't understand them when they talk. I get the feeling that they really don't want me there.

 

After the liters to gallons conversion, and the Canadian $ conversion to US $'s I got fuel for $4.90 US at a 5th Wheel Truck Stop on the 401 in Port Hope (?) Ontario the other day, but the next day it was $4.40 Canadian at TA at Woodstock, Ontario on the 401....the US dollar is now worth less than the Canadian Dollar.....
