I mostly listen and since I live in a truck area why not have one! I usually have it on more than I do my radio which I need to rewire instead of using a toggle switch to turn it on and having the reprogram all my radio stations all the time, it's a pain. lol But the big reason I put one in my truck was for them times when drivers want to get over! Hell I was talking to a driver on my way to a friends house who was looking for a casino. He asked if I'd talk to him so I did and I noticed he was out of Jeffersonville, Texas.

But I will admit it I love when the New Jersey and New York drivers get into fights! It's funny alot of times. I get tired of all the trash talk and put downs after awhile but for a lil bit they can be funny but I just love the good old talks. 8)

Here in Michigan, the police reports indicate that many vehicles are pulled over for minor defects such as obstructed vision. This gives the officer opportunity to discover other violations such as DUI, license suspended, no proof of insurance, warrants, etc. Why give them an excuse to pull you over?

They do quite a good job enforcing this law in New York. I've known many people that have been cited for this. It not something I've been cited for since I use a head set, I get cited for everything else they can come up with. 8) 8)

They can make one up. :?

That happened to me on Hwy 80 eastbound just after I crossed into Illinois...middle of the night.
I was in my personal vehicle, a '67 Ford F-250 pulling a 34' flatbed construction trailer. I had it sided and covered with a tarp.
(drug runners do this...from what I was told)

The Border-hugging Bear pulled me over for having a tail light out. Curious I thought, and asked if I could get out and see for myself.
As I suspected...nothing at all was wrong with my lights.

I was invited to sit in the front of the patrol car while my story was checked.
After he checked my pedigree, I was told how this was a drug corridor, and was asked if
I would mind if he let his canine badge kisser sniff my rig, and I felt freaked out...
when I turned and saw a dog through the cage-mesh, sitting there all quiet and judging my character.

I felt vulnerable and began to sweat. I tried to hide my being nervous. Good Lord...what if that dog found me out?
I quickly took inventory of all I had that was bad. I know dogs can sense a criminal mind...and smell fear.
I was now in very big trouble. I had magazines of pusssy under the seat of my truck. Dogs hate cats...this could be very bad for me.
I wanted to be allowed to get out of the patrol car, but was told to just stay put...this wouldn't take long.

Maybe the Cop could sense I wanted to whistle and throw a stick into on-coming traffic....or maybe he figured I wanted to BOLT.
 I wish I had a box of donuts and a bag of milkbone biskets...but nope... didn't plan ahead. That turned out to be the longest 10 minutes of my life.
I'm scarred to this day. I keep my magazines in a jar filled with coffee beans now.

Speaking of coffee beans... Double el.... you haven't been around Brew Wars lately.......................... whatz a madder? ...........you chicken?

I stopped bothering with them years ago.
They make good sense in a Big Truck, but last thing I wanna hear in my own vehicle is squelch.
I even hate a cell phone now too.
