Default For anyone traveling through wyoming today

Ok i loaded a heavy load of Salt here in ogden last night, waiting for the roads to open up to get to rock springs, wy.

got a new storm coming in tonight word has it too. we got two trucks in the company, and the other driver is stuck in lyman, I guess its so bad you cant see the nose of the truck. however, they talking at least another 24 hours to possibly open up. decided i would list the wyoming road closue information as of 11:45 am MST today for anyone else in the situation. take note. if you head up I-84 east out of ogden, chains are required, then your just going to get shutdown at evanston, wy even still. so i got me a nice comfy spot here at flying J and wifi.

I love running Wyoming but not in those conditions. I'm in NC today. Got up to 65 and not a cloud to be seen.

I'm in Steamboat Springs, CO. I'll leave Sunday and head to Ogden, UT. I thought about taking CO 13 north from Craig, CO, which turns into WY 789 and joins I-80 west of Rawlins, but from the original post, I'm not so sure now. We've got a little squal set in here right now, but I think that it will pass through quickly because the forecast is for blue skies and warmer temps (mid 30s) Sunday. I think its usually a little milder out towards Vernal, UT than it is in Rock Springs, WY, so I may just run US 40 all the way to Salt Lake and then head north. I just don't like that Strawberry Pass area in the winter, or those hills leading down into Heber City; I'd rather be on I-80. But if I-80 is closed, I guess that's not an option!

well we made it in to rock springs last night. it was quite the adventure for sure. we took video along the way, wall to wall trucks, both directions. seemed like every truck in america and quite impressive, at the same time treachurous, and amazing. in rock springs, and its crazy still. but we will head on up to the house 260 miles north of here over south pass today.

I"ve been in WY for things like that. I know what you're talking about. Currently, I'm sitting in my living room in FL. Good luck to you.

well we made it in safely to the house tonight.

here is a link to the activities of last night. plenty of cb commentary, to go with it. honestly though i love winter trucking and times like last night. evanston to rock springs is 100 miles. it took 7.5 hours to make the trip. notice all the trucks in the video. all was slow and easy. also a note, i did not video while driving, my girlfriend who rides with me was operating the camera. so we was being safe. and future videos will be much better.
