Default AVALANCHE AT LOOKOUT PASS

Breaking News (From Krem.com )

AVALANCHE AT LOOKOUT PASS - Crews are working to clear an avalanche along Interstate 90 over Lookout Pass at the Idaho-Montana border. One eastbound lane is now open; westbound traffic remains closed. The avalanche has buried a snow plow.

Drive safe! It is a mess up here in Idaho!

If they shut the engine down, they've got a better chance than the folks that bet burried when skiing. They've got air in the cab, and the snow acts as insulation against the cold. Hope they get to them soon.

They are in a plow, why can't they plow their way out? Oh right, they prolly got knocked off the road and can't go nowhere. Seriously I hope they make it out safely, ditto Windwalker's comments, they are basically in a cave right now as long as the windows stayed intact.

Yeah, Don't know why but Pipestone scares me--maybe it's because coming East- you can see all the way to the bottom-- and you know it's not gonna be "pretty" if you screw up.

Lookout was piece of cake this morning---4th of July Pass was actually slicker/more snow covered( IMO). Sunset Hill(Spokane) was a little slick- but mostly just the darn traffic made it a mess.
