TW, last month they held the Grand Opening of the Carrol Shelby Museum in Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada......I was on a run from L.A. to Henderson and back....I must have had at least 100 Shelbys from all years pass me coming and going....what a sight to see.

The older ones are classics, but I REALLY like the new ones....maybe this is my year to buy one...

I love Shelbys, yesterdays and todays, they are the only car I look for at car shows, Well them and 68 Chevy Chevelle Malibus, they bring back good memories.

I love the history of Carrol Shelby and his drive to design and develope cars as well as race them. Friend of mine was building the Kit car, Man that is just awesome,

obviously my opinion is of little importance never the less there it is.

Fredog like the pics
Now, I like most shelby cars as much as the next guy. However, I dont know if I could say something like "I love anything with Carrol Shelbys name on it" Many people forget about the really crappy cars thoughout history that wore the Shelby name upon it. Such as.
THe Shelby Charger. 110hp of complete crapola.

Or perhaps the "ever so stylish yet not so aerodynamic" 1986 Shelby GLH-S. (Dodge Omni)

How about the 87 Shelby Lancer. Im convinced this car was designed so really dorky dudes could walk around night clubs telling chicks that he drove a "Shelby", only hoping they would get drunk enough to not notice he was driving a car that looked like it belonged to his grandmother.

Lets not forget the Shelby CSX which to be looked a little like a Ford Escort...and probably about as fast.

And last and LEAST....a groundbreaking design..I give you the Shelby pick up truck. Yes, a 1989 Shelby Dakota. This was cutting edge performance technology here. The original Dakota pick up came with an underpowered 3.9 liter v6 and 170 hp. To boost performance and make it worthy of the shelby name. They squeezed a 5.2 liter V8 into this small truck achieving a huge increase of 5hp over the small V6 for a grand total of 175hp!! Brilliant!
