Well, Texas is known for it's wild animals. Wild women, too. :P
In west Texas, around Guthrie, and Dickens, there are a lot of deer. Some big ones. I got my first buck of the year, last night. A couple miles west of Dickens. There were a bunch of deer in the comedian, grazing in the grass. It looked like there were a couple of 6, or 8 point bucks in the bunch. One of them decided to run across the road. Fatal mistake. I moved over to the left, unto the shoulder, but I felt a couple of thumps, back towards the trailers.
We also have black bucks out in that same area. From what I've heard, they are a breed of antilope. They look like deer, but their horns grow straight up. They also have a black, and white stripe on the bottom of their neck. Of course, we have the wild pigs. Those critters can make a dent.
I've always heard about Lions, Cougars, etc..in west Texas, but as far as I know, I've never seen any.
What kind of wild animals have yall encountered? Yall ever come across any unusual wild animals?
