Default Los Freaking Angeles

So, if I have to deliver on Friday morning in La Mirada, and I'm coming down I-5 tomorrow, where is the closest place I can reasonably expect to park for the night?

Industry Circle off the freeway is where I'm delivering. On Google Earth it looks like those warehouses have a lot of room behind them, but most places I've been around LA are fenced in. Any ideas?

Maybe Wheeler Ridge on the North side of the Grapevine?

If that's where the T/A is up there, that's about the closest place I know of. A 90 mile drive into LA on a Friday morning sounds less than fun though. I could take 10 over to Ontario, but that's way out of the way and I hate that place anyway.

Wheeler Ridge Petro and TA is exit 219A which would be 100 miles north of your drop. Ontario is going to be about 45 miles.

I suppose you don't know where your back load will be? ..or has dispatch given you any of that info yet?

I found a couple places closer, but I don't know anything about them.
here is the info I have.

Superfine Texaco [exit 15B hwy 10] [C store, scales, truck/trailer wash, oil/lube]
213-626-1259

AMF Chevron [exit 126B hwy 5] [C store, scales, truck/trailer wash]
323-887-7000

If you speeka spanish, you could ask on the CB... [smartass comment for the day]

We run irregular routes, so expecting the "planners" to tell us where we'll be going a day in advance is usually expecting too much.

Thanks for the replies guys. I ain't stopping at the Grapevine, so I guess I'll cruise around until I find a hiding place down there. If I look carefully enough, I can usually find a place where I won't bother anyone. Oh, and my Spanish is serviceable. Not good, but serviceable.

I've delivered To La Mirada in the Past and there's a very Large Mall there but I'd be leery of parking there and be careful-You might be able to get away with saying you're making a delivery there.

Do you have the customers phone number? Give em a ring and ask if you can park inside their place....And if you can, just to wake you with a hot tea and toasted crumpets after they tip you   ....
Its gotta be worth ringing them. I always park on the doors of a place(If they let me)
Tell em Wot sent ya. That should do the trick.........Not
