PA truck route question
#1
I have a quick question that hopefully someone can answer this evening.
I'm on US 22/US 119 in Blairsville, PA. I'm going to Latrobe, PA, just south of US 30 on PA rt 981. The question is: is PA 981 a truck route? I know that there was a truck restricted route between US 22 & US 30, but can't remember which one it is.

981 is listed as a truck route...on my Rand McNally. It's also a red line indicating it is a Principal highway. Looks good to Latrobe.
259 back eastbound looks like the restricted route you remember.

981 looks like your best route. Direct.
982 and 217 are also truck routes...but not as good a road as 981. 217 is a Principle highway, but several stinkin' little towns to go through. Happy trails, Bro!
