ZipCars May Be useful to some
Not sure if this has ever been discussed before, but I thought I would toss it out here and see if anyone is a Zipster and a forumite.
Zipcar and Flexcar (now merged) is a car sharing utility that is pretty clever, although maybe somewhat too cosmopolitan for the trucking community. Check it out. www.zipcar.com or www.flexcar.com The find car link seems to have a problem at present.

Once you get signed up with this, you get a "zipcard", you find out where a car is parked near your location, walk up to the car hold your zipcard up to the window and the doors unlock. The keys are in it and you drive off. Bring it back when you are done. By the day or by the hour. No licensing, insurance, maintenance or rental car clerks buttholes to contend with.
