I got turned on to this clip.
It's proof tone is all in the fingers. For those guys that wonder if they owned an expensive guitar, if that would make them sound better. A good guitarist can play a cheap guitar and make it sound great. Here is Joe Satriani playing a crappy guitar through a Digitech RP200, plugged into a little Peavey solid state amp. He was limited, because the guitar had no floating bridge, and harmonics sucked. I liked his comment at the end. "Ahhh that was a little painful on this." (high action) hehehe...we've all been THERE. hahaha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9v5e1TTwts

On the topic of aging Rockers.
Another great band... Scorpions returns to their "signature" sound in their new release, "Humanity Hour 1." http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZWrn7YWA0ss They have been on my top 10 list for several decades, and this album is right in the pocket. 50+ year old rockers rule! |
