Default Staying healthy on the road

What are some tips for staying healthy on the road. I've started to only drink diet soda and that flavored water. Haven't seen much weight loss or other physical improvements. I try to eat ham and occasionally turkey sandwiches but every once in a while I need a monster cheeseburger.

If you really want to get healthy get away from the sodas, diet and other wise, as well as the flavored water

Drink plain water, unsweetened tea, coffee black or with fat free milk. Eat lots and lots of fruits and veggies, and use them for snacks as well as meals.

Avoid fried foods, avoid fatty foods like hamburgers and when you think you must eat one get the small one a load it up with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and other veggies. Get baked potatoes instead of fries or better yet steamed rice, or just skip the starch all together and go with extra veggies or a big salad or extra side salad.

Park in the back of the truck stops, spend at least 30 minutes a day walking (or jogging if so inclined). Lift weights to increase muscle mass which will help increase your metabolism. You do not have to use heavy weights to build muscle. 5 or 10 lbs will work, you just do more reps.

Of course this 5-10 lb theory is wrong , and will not bild muscle mass ...And contrary to popular beleif light weights don't even do much for toning ,as tone is a result of resting muscle tension which is produced best from lower reps and heavy weigh ....no you don't need tp push heavy doubles or tripples , but if you can bench 200lbs as a beginner lifting 50 lbs will do nothing , as the entire reason muscle grows after puberty has ended is due to the need for an adaption causing the need to increase size strengh ...5-10 lbs is not exactly sending that message to most grown mens bodys .
