That movie influenced me a lot. I bought my first Hog in '72.
I went to Daytona, Fl. from Michigan to get my Harley certified mechanic license at AMI in '73, on that Hog. Extended the forks at the AMI shop, and welded up a hardtail.
My first Bike Week in Daytona that same year. Rode out to San Francisco and met up with a Bro, and we went cross country to New Orleans, after meeting up with another Bro in Tucson, and back up to Michigan. Total trip for me took almost a year. Only transportation I had was that Hog for about 3 years. I still have my brown fringe leather jacket from then, and my stupid looking blue metal flake helmet. That was one wild time. 8)
