Legal flatbed straps?

I posted this in the Rules & Regs forum, but no results. I do flatbed for a local building center and they bought some new 2" ratchet straps for the truck. Now, every strap I've ever used has a little red stripe down the center for DOT inspection purposes. These new straps don't have that. I've searched these forums and the FMCSR site, but can't find any relevant info on whether or not these are legal. Anybody know?

is there a tag at either end of the strap if do it should have the working load limit stamped on it will look something like this (W.L.L. 2000 lb) or close to it as long as you go by that you will be ok your straps do not have to be DOT approved you could go to home depot and buy them if you want all DOT is going to look at is the WLL and is the strap is frayed or worn hope this helps

Yeah, the WLL is fine for all my new straps. I was just wondering about the little red stripe down the center. I haven't found anything so I'll assume they're good to go. 8)

Silly me, I always thought the Red stripe was so that I knew which way to roll my straps, so that would be right the next time I used them. Go figure!
