Default The Movie thread.

Anyone like movies? I have been watching a few lately, mostly new releases from the internet and some older one's.

Anyone see Superbad yet. Been a while since I laughed that hard, good movie!

Wife and I took in Stardust a couple weeks ago. It was really good, if you like the fantasy types of movies. Story was good and the acting was excellent. Had some pretty funny parts in it, too.

The most recent movie I saw was Zodiac.
Well, I didnt know anything about Zodiac. My wife told me that is was supposed to be good. All I knew, was some dude in California was killing folks. Well, within 15 minutes into the movie, I was like, " wait a minute, this is from Dirty Harry." :P

I liked the movie, but the end was different. I thought it was good.

Hmmm - I really liked Live Free or Die Hard and Bourne Ultimatum. I really like action movies, and those definitely filled the bill for that.

Bourne movie was pretty good. Just watched the Wild Hogs DVD last weekend, it was an okay movie. Nothing great but a fun DVD rental.

300 is an excellent movie. It is based on Frank Miller's graphic novel; but is a true story. The movie is based on the famous battle of Thermopylae that took place around 485 BC. There were 300 Spartans vs. about 200,000 Persians. They held their ground for 3 days. Have you heard the phrase, "you want it, come get it," it comes from the Spartan leader Leonidas who said that to the persians when they told him to surrender.

Aside from being a historic movie, the cinemetography is unbelievable. I actually purchased the DVD, which says something because I rarely do that.
