How many drivers have more than a high school education?

Maybe not cut from exactly the same cloth, but we're close cousins.

Without getting into too much detail about myself, suffice it to say that the main reason I started considering a trucking career, and then took the big step, is that I don't have to deal with too many people. Even in the type of trucking that I do, which is hauling bulkers, i deal with less people than I would if I were to haul vans.
I've realised that I function best when I'm by myself, and where I have very limited person to person interaction....it allows me to be myself, lets my "wounds" heal, and lets me be at peace with myself. It's also the only job that I've ever done in my life that actually enables me to feel proud of a decent days' work ( I used to be a management consultant, & I've done some pretty nasty things to people, till one night, when I suddenly woke up with an epiphany....I never went back to my previous job / career after that, and spent 6-8 months in a haze mulling over my life, till I finally managed to get everything clear in my head about how to live the rest of my life ). The bottom line....money isn't everything....peace of mind & a clear conscience is. I wish North America would wake up to this fact, and change the way we lead our lives and deal with the world.

After I completed high school. I decided to go to the local city college. I spent three semesters there and decided it wasn't for me. I worked mostly warehouse and construction jobs until I got sick of all the co-worker drama. I decided to get my Class A four years ago. And it was the best carreer move I made. I consider myself educated in my own way through reading books of all kinds, the internet and programs on television that are mentally stimulating. I guess I'm self educated.
