Here is the statement from the FMCSA site

We are analyzing the decision issued today to understand the court's findings as well as determine the agency’s next steps to prevent driver fatigue, ensure safe and efficient motor carrier operations and save lives. This decision does not go into effect until September 14, unless the court orders otherwise."

you mean the decision to throw out the new HOS will go into effect september 14th? and they have until then to come up with some new rules or go back to the old ones? that stinks!

yup kind of leaves us in limbo till they decide what exactly they are going to do

I really hope they leave the 34 hour restart in place as it is helpful to have hours back on the weekend

As my boss says cant they just leave it alone

What a bunch of Drama Queens. I drove forever on the old HOS and not a Peep from anybody and now and I think they've changed the HOS 4 times ?

not sure they made changes in 2003 and 2005 but cant think of when the other time was.

I use to run on the old rules and they worked okay but would like to see the 34 hour reset as we are usually off friday afternoon till sunday or monday depending on the schedule.

I'm with you on this. Go back to the old rules but keep the reset and set it at 24 hours.
