Default How to keep off the lbs?

Is there a product out there that helps with keeping the pounds off? One that doesn't have a nasty side effect of frequent stops.

Weight control is a huge problem for drivers because of the general inactivity that comes with the job.

What he is going to have to do is make better choices. Eat less, eat better, and increase his activity.

He does not have to make big changes all at once, he can start small and then when that becomes a good habit, move on to something else.

He could start with something like replacing just one bottle of soda per day with a big bottle of water.

Then he could replace a lunch or dinner once or twice per week with a salad bar and then grab a piece of fruit or two to take with him for a snack later on in place of chips or a candy bar. Replacing the dinner/supper would be the best choice since there will be little time between eating and going to bed.

The thing that helps me most is watching what I eat and my portions. I rarely clean my plate. I eat most everything I want but don't try to eat every bite. I also stay away from the buffet's. It is very easy to over eat when you go through the buffet. Besides, most of them have a lot of carbohydrates. He could always take prepared food from home. Instead of snacking on chips and candy, try carrot sticks or celery or other fresh vegetables. You will not only eat better, but save a lot of money. I do tend to eat at Subway fairly often. I always get a lot of veggies on the sandwich and only buy the 6". I stay away from the higher fat sandwiches and opt for those higher in protein but less in carbs or fat. Like Uturn stated, you will need to make some lifestyle changes to keep your weight down. Although it can be difficult, it may also help to try and eat close to the same time each day. Having a strict routine for eating on the road can be challenging unless you keep food in the truck. It just takes discipline. Once you get used to the lifestyle changes, it is much easier.

Yes, tie your mouth shut and throw away the key. Or give the key to "hubby". If he's good he'll unlock it with good disipline.

You think i'm kidding?
