Larz you threw out Haiti wasn't it the BUSH ADMINISTRTION in 2003 that said we would be greeted with as LIBERATORS in IRAQ. Also in EVERYONE of CLINTONS pardons or comutions of sentance the person had already served his or her time. Scooter Libbey had not even started to serve his time yet. Also Bush is the same guy that told the POPE himself that he would not commute the sentace of a woman on death row that was a victim of domestic abuse while he was Governor of Texas he instead danced while she was sent to the DEATH Chamber it was said.

Fozzy she murdered her abusive husband to get away from him. Her husband was going thru restraing orders and stuff like that and the state of Texas refused to help her at all so she killed him to end her terror. She was sentanced to death and the Pope John Paul the Second appealed to George W Bush for clemoncy for her and he said Bush told the Pope quote I WILL NEVER OVERTURN THE WILL OF A JURY. Now one of his senior staff gets convicted of a minor crime and is supposed to serve 30 months and all of a sudden that is to severe of a punishment. Next thing we know is the jury's decison is thrown out and he does not even serve a day. Before you say Libby was picked on by a Democratic judge here are the partculars EVERYONE THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIS CASE WAS REPUBLICAN FROM THE PROSACUTOR TO THE JUDGE. the proscacutor is the one that put Ryan here in IL behind bars so he does not care who you are.

 

That’s pure, unadulterated bull cookies! This woman was proven to be a murderer, she went through the appeals process and not one time did the juries think that she was the victim and not the murderer. She was tried (several times) by juries of her peers and was rightly executed for her crime.


The last time I checked, the Pope wasn’t on the jury, he wasn’t in Texas and he wasn’t even an American citizen. AND the last person on the face of the planet that can talk about clemency and mercy is a friggen Catholic Pope! The Catholic Church has been the cause of more death and human suffering than almost anything else in the history of the world.

What was the “crime”? The crime that Libby was set up to take the fall on was not even mentioned in the show trial.

I think these presidential pardons should be outlawed. The law is abused. It's nothing but a get out of jail card for the elite and connected.

The bottom line is that these people went through the criminal justice system and were found guilty by a jury. Normal everday people do not have the luxury afforded to them by the president.

I t doesn't matter if it was Bush, Clinton or any other president who's been in office.

 

This President has not pardoned anyone lately...
