Default Ice road truckers

Series premiere was tonight. The trucker version of Deadliest Catch. Have someone at home tape it if you're on the road weekends.

Good show. Those guys are nuts! Wouldn't catch me driving across ice. Not on purpose anyways.

One thing I'd like to know is....Why are they only showing men on the show?? I know for a fact there are women doing the same job up there. Maybe one of the shows coming up will be about the women. I sure hope so, wouldn't be fair if they don't.

Default Ice Road Truckers - History Channel Version

If the first show is the best they have, it's not all that compared to the version the Discovery Channel ran. BOL

I really liked the show, but I do have one question. Have any of you ever put the truck on Cruise Control and go in the sleeper to get a different coffee cup. That is the nuttiest thing I'd ever seen. I plan on watching it every week.

Funny that the same driver ended up putting his truck in the ditch and had to be towed out.

Just another driving job. Do it wrong...you die.
But still mildly interesting to watch.

Well, I really hate driving on ice, but at least the ice I drive on is on top of either asphalt or concrete and I won't drop through 75 feet of sub-zero water if it breaks.

Those drivers on the "Ice Road" do not go much faster than 20 MPH. The dangers are greatly exaggerated. I think there has been something like only two people die up there in the last twenty years from driving.

Yeah! lol. And the one younger guy was giving him crap about staying out of the ditch, and he even said (acting like a super trucker) "he didn't intend to see ANY ditches". And what happens? Puts it in the ditch.

I won't comment about grabbing something I left in the sleeper while driving with the cruise on.
