Once 10 years has passed there are companies willing to work with certain types of felony convictions.

Yeah, that's going to be tough. There's 2 reasons for it.
#1: it's a liability. Right or wrong, a company that hires you is going to be on the hotseat for hiring you if you do anything stupid with a truck. #2: Canada. Most carriers still run Canada and require all their drivers to be able to cross the border. You won't be able to and that will severely limit any options you might have.

Yeah, I've never been there myself. I've been through El Paso, and that's pretty close. :P
