Default Truck Driver on "COPS" TV Show

Sat down this evening watching the show COPS on Fox. They were riding with Atlanta's finest. Where were they? riding on the road in front of the Petro and the officer sees a hand to hand transaction at the gas station across the street from the Petro next to the Blue Flame.

Goes to check out this big, country white guy and low and behold finds the CRACK COCAINE that he had just bought from a black guy.

The driver says to the officer " I am screwed, this is going to run my career" Gee you think??? Looked to be about 45 years old and here is this driver parking at the Petro and walking across the street to go buy his dope.

Now this is a guy who is driving his rig right next to you on the big road, scary......real damn scary.

My favorite trucker related episode is where they find a trucker parked in Albuquerque dressed in womens underwear complaining about his wallet being stolen.

I like the ones when the truckers get involved- I saw one where the trucker ran the car being chased off the road and one where two truckers got side by side and blocked the road to stop the car being chased.

Cool.

That poor trucker will never be driving for any reputable company for a long long time.
Drugs does not make a person smart, only dumber.

I could be wrong here, but don't you have to give consent/permission to them to use you in that show ?
If so what a dumb ass, crack cocaine ? permanent revocation would be the answer to that idiot.
Way to make us all look like druggies.

Christmas Eve 2004 I was driving down US 287, Iowa Park, Texas when I noted a big rig jackknifed at an on ramp. When I pulled up to see if the guy was hurt, he was laid out on his back next to the cab. I rushed up to him he slowly rolled to his hands and knees and crawled back to the truck. I asked if he was OK and he said, yeah, just had a little to much to drink, had to get back on the road, mail had to be in Dallas by 6 PM (it was about 11:30 pm). I tried to talk the guy into letting me pull his truck to the side and him sleeping it off but no, he insisted on crawling back into the cab, falling out twice while attempting the feat! He did get the rig started and headed off. I followed him a short distance and after he sideswiped the guardrail I called the police. They got to him about 6 or 7 miles later, before he got into Wichita Falls. While they were trying to stop him, he hit another guardrail, swerved into the center divider and almost turned it over.

I hated to "ruin his Christmas" but then again, if he had of gotten on down the road, I doubt that he could have negotiated the curve in Wichita Falls, and since that was before the overhead was built, probably would have killed someone going through downtown.

Police said the guy had a roast fully cooked in his crockpot. He had a 5th of Crown Royal with less than an inch left in it in his sleeper.

The guy spent the night in jail, got out and took a taxi to the impound yard which was not open but he wrecker driver had left the gate open while he went and got another vehicle. When the wrecker driver got back, the gate was wide open and the guys truck was GONE.

Police report made, now there was a stolen report out. Never did hear if he got charged with stealing the truck from the impound yard or not but he definitely ruined the rest of his life that night!
