Two weeks ago I was doing a screaming 30 MPH on a slick road in a freezing rain when a Fed-Ex pulling triples passed me doing at least 50. All three trailers were fishtailing all over the road!! I personally was looking for a place to park my single flatbed! I could not believe what i saw!!

I saw that little clip on CNN, it is amazing how FedEx driver can drive so wrecklessly through Rain, Snow and Ice. Don't those driver realize there are other traffic on the roads :?:

I also realize they have frieght to move just like the rest of us drivers, those FedEx drivers got to learn the whip effect of the last trailer or 2 they pull. I'd like to see those drivers do that crap on the 3 sisters or cabbage or pull those mountain passes in the wester half of the United States.

they are super trucker because they pull doubles/triples. They think they own the highway because of it. I bet the driver in the video is probably putting in applications at wal-mart.
Hmmm, does that mean he'll be unloading schneider trucks from now on?

I was going up 1-29 in Iowa, Going a brave 45 mph... I shouldn't have even been driving or going that fast.. It was 8 pm pitch black snowing pretty good along with the snow covering the road.. At times I used the rumble strips to find the right lane. A fed ex double flew by me going 65 or so.. I couldn't believe it.

At the same time I realized that even with the weather thier customers expect them to be on time with the overnight super fast shipping they have.

hate to break it to you guys but alot of other guys go to fast for conditions as well, not just fed ex drivers and the other guys that pull doubles. if you do not like the conditions, get off the road, if i am alright with them then i am moving on.

We know a lot of guys are doing it not just Fedex. But Fedex seems to do it a lot no matter what the conditions are. I also, just like you, feel that if I can keep rolling I will, but I will also shut it down just as quick if it gets to unsafe. I also feel that it can be unsafe even if you feel stabile on the road. I have been known to shut down because everyone around me is being too unsae for the conditions.

2 weeks ago on I15 in Cali I saw a double, on the opposite side, couldn't tell whos it was, flip his rear double and pulled it for a few miles down the road. dry roads. Better light show than the 4th of July.
